Dr. Glen Korsen or "Dr. Glen" as his patients call him, is a local Long Islander. He grew up in Smithtown and attended public schools there. As a child, he learned to enjoy his dental visits through positive experiences with his own pediatric dentist. Dr. Glen decided at a young age that one day he would return to the town he grew up in and work as a pediatric dentist. After graduating from Smithtown High School West, Dr. Glen continued his education at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dr. Glen then moved to Baltimore to complete four years of training at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. After obtaining his DDS (and meeting his wife, Nicole) Dr. Glen returned to Long Island to complete a two year residency in pediatric dentistry at Schneider Children's Hospital in New Hyde Park where he served as chief resident during his second year. Dr. Glen has been providing dental care at Kids-Smile Children's Dentistry for infants, children, adolescents and handicapped children since 1998. Today he lives in Setauket with his wife, Nicole (a high school English teacher in Miller Place) and their two children, Sydney and Luke. |
